About us

Hi, I'm Merje
I used to run an online plant store called Scandiscapes which was a thing of beauty and wonder but as nice as the clean and clear brand was, it was missing that joyous element.
I don't know about you but after the last few years of pandemic and cost of living and wars and.. well, everything.. I am more and more drawn to things that bring a smile to my face.

Joy as an act of resistance
Have you noticed how fashion and interiors stores have gotten increasingly "meh" over the past few years? Me too. When there is a lot of uncertainty, people tend to retreat back to safe (and boring) colours.
I for one am tired of this. Being colourful in spite of everything fading to beige is an act of pure rebellion in my book. Will you join me in being a secret rebel in your own home?

Sustainability
I'm passionate about ensuring we have a planet to hand down to following generations that is habitable and glorious. This is why I am careful about which products to choose for the store.
I prioritise renewable materials and solid design and generally steer away from plastic unless it is used to make a super sturdy and variable product that will last for generations.

A family affair
You might be surprised to hear that our logo and colours were created by a 12-year-old. Working to a very woolly brief with an extremely particular client, he came up with the perfect brand elements to bring our store to life. Key input was received from his younger brother who remains disappointed at the lack of space elements in the design.
